1st Choice Academy Services

The staff at the Academy is the best of the best. Our staff consists of Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Board Certified Associate Behavior Analysts, Licensed General and Special Education Teachers, and Pre-School Teachers. Most of our staff members have a minimum of a Master’s Degree.

On site, we also provide behaviorally based Speech Therapy (additional fee required, insurance may cover this service). Ask about behavioral physical and occupational therapy, as well.

1st Choice Academy is registered with the Florida Department of Education as a Private School. We accept the McKay Scholarship. We also have information on loan options through Sallie Mae Educational and Key Bank Alternative available to interested parents.

1 st Choice Academy operates on the Seminole County Public Schools calendar. We offer the option of regular or extended school year for your convenience. 1 st Choice Academy's tuition varies according to the ratio for which your child qualifies and the availability of suitable peers (if ratio is higher than one on one). Our school hours are 9:00AM – 2:30PM. Wednesday afternoons, early dismissal occurs at 1:30PM. After school extended day is available, with rates varying based on the number of children enrolled in aftercare. Please see the attached school year calendar for our schedule.

Summer Session:
Summer School is an optional part of the Florida Autism Center school year and meets Tuesday and
Thursday mornings from 9AM – 12PM on the following dates in 2010:
June 17, 22, 24, 29 July 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29, August 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19. There is no additional fee for
Summer School. You may choose to attend all, none, or part of scheduled Summer School.

Hours: School is in session 9:00AM – 2:30PM, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Early dismissal occurs at 1:30PM on Wednesday. Extended day / aftercare is available by request (additional fees may apply).
